Dear all,
Please note that the New Zealand Government has extended the nationwide lockdown until the end of the week for all of New Zealand, expect Auckland which will remain in lockdown until at least next Tuesday midnight. This is in an attempt to stamp out the latest outbreak, hoping that New Zealand can regain the status of being Covid Free (outside of Managed Isolation facilities).
Therefore, this week’s South Island auction will not proceed. In the meantime we can continue to ship wool that had been scoured prior to lockdown, but no greasy wool.
It is worth mentioning that we currently have 148 active cases of Covid, and all of these are in the North Island.
If the South Island remains Covid Free until Friday evening, we are hopeful that restrictions will be eased to at least allow wool to be scoured in the South Island.
We will provide further updates as information comes to hand, but rest assured we continue to work as best we can to avoid any delays to shipment of existing orders.
